Customer Founded in 2009, prizeotel offers chic, affordable accommodations at central locations in Bremen, Hamburg, and Hannover. Challenge Prizeotel wanted guest services to match its modern, stylish hotel interiors at its three locations. One aim was to remove the need for guests to wait for assistance when checking in. Solution Selecting ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access has given prizeotel a cutting-edge solution, enhancing security and convenience at its hotels. Using their smart devices as digital room keys, Mobile Access enables guests to bypass the reception desk upon arrival. The solution is accessed when an individual initiates a request via a mobile app. ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access also provides the latest security safeguards. It works with a hotel’s property management system to allocate a guestroom and generate an encrypted digital key that is securely delivered to a guest’s smartphone. The smartphone places the key in a secure key vault within the hotel’s mobile app. When presented to the appropriate lock, the app transmits the encrypted key via a secure communication channel, ensuring that only authorized users receive the digital key information and gain access. The digital keys operate with modern VingCard Signature RFID (radio frequency identification) door locks installed throughout the hotels. The locks, which only require the installation of a small RFID reader on the door, are protected with advanced anti-cloning technology to guard against unauthorized access. The door locks work together with the ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Visionline data communication platform.
